"Oh, it's 2000 years Christ was born and all that" you might say, but wasn't he born on the 25th of December? Hmm? Also, it's technically not even the end of the millennium on the 31st of December 1999 - the next millennium starts with 2001. In fact, if Jesus was around at the same time as Herod, he'd have been born in 4BC, so we'd already be 3 years into the new millennium. All this means that there's no reason for this New Years' Eve to be any more or less special than any of the previous years. Bah Humbug. Except!
